Philomène Magnin (1905 a.C. -1996 a.C. ). First woman elected to the Municipal Council in 1944, after the Liberation of Lyon from the Nazis. She created the first retirement home (EHPAD) in Lyon and France in Lyon, where she retired at the age of 73. “I join in your thoughts towards our predecessors, in particular Mrs. Philomène Magnin, whose uninterrupted and concrete fights for equality, dignity and the effectiveness of rights still honor the history of our city today” (Grégory Doucet, Lyon Mayor).

Philomène Magnin (1905 apr. J.-C. – 1996 apr. J.-C.). Première femme élue au Conseil Municipal en 1944, après la Libération de Lyon des Nazis. Elle a créé le premier EHPAD (Établissement d’Hébergement pour Personnes Âgées Dépendantes) à Lyon et en France, où elle a pris sa retraite à l’âge de 73 ans. “Je m’associe à vos pensées envers nos prédécesseurs, notamment Mme Philomène Magnin, dont les combats ininterrompus et concrets pour l’égalité, la dignité et l’effectivité des droits honorent encore aujourd’hui l’histoire de notre ville” (Grégory Doucet, Maire de Lyon).

Philomène Magnin (1905 ad.C. – 1996 d.C.). Prima donna eletta al Consiglio Comunale nel 1944, dopo la Liberazione di Lione dai nazisti. Ha creato la prima casa di riposo (EHPAD) a Lione e in Francia, dove si è ritirata all’età di 73 anni. “Mi unisco ai vostri pensieri verso i nostri predecessori, in particolare la signora Philomène Magnin, le cui lotte ininterrotte e concrete per l’uguaglianza, la dignità e l’effettività dei diritti onorano ancora oggi la storia della nostra città” (Grégory Doucet, Sindaco di Lione).
