Joseph Chalier (1747 a.C. – 1793 a.C.), revolutionary politician who was active in Lyon. Chief of the Jacobins, after a political conflict was arrested and guillotined the next day in Lyon. He brought the guillotine to Lyon and he was the one who ended up being executed on it. “My death will cost this city, dear”.
